About Sato Wines

Sato Wines is a small, artisan winery founded by Japanese couple Yoshiaki Sato and Kyoko Sato in Central Otago, New Zealand. After years working in Burgundy and around the world, the couple settled in Central Otago to craft terroir-driven wines using organic farming and minimal-intervention winemaking. Their wines focus on elegance, balance, and transparency of site, often produced in very small quantities.

Tasting Notes:

Bright and lifted aromatics of lime zest, green apple, white peach and delicate floral notes. The palate is crisp and linear with vibrant citrus, subtle stone fruit and a refreshing mineral backbone. Dry, energetic and precise, finishing long with mouthwatering acidity.

Food Recommendation:

Seafood, sashimi, spicy Asian cuisine, fermented dishes, light poultry, and fresh herb-driven plates.
