About Jean Foillard
Jean Foillard is one of the legendary producers of Beaujolais and a key figure among the “Gang of Four,” the pioneering winemakers who championed natural winemaking in Morgon. Influenced by Jules Chauvet, Foillard farms old-vine Gamay organically and focuses on minimal intervention in the cellar to express the pure character of the granite-rich terroir. His wines are celebrated worldwide for their elegance, energy, and age-worthy structure.
Tasting Notes:
Bright and expressive with aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry, rose petals, and crushed granite. The palate is silky and lively, showing pure red fruit, subtle spice, and mineral freshness. Juicy yet refined, with fine tannins and a long, vibrant finish.
