In 1857, the field of history begins with the Denied-Vantey family. The family is then vineyard owner from Santenay to the Clos de Vougeot and a significant trading activity. With the phylloxera crisis many vineyards are sold. At the beginning of the 20th century Mr Georges Lochardet descendant of the Denied-Vantey family is a great wine merchant on the Côte de Beaune where he then has twenty hectares of vineyards and several houses of farms. At his death, his son Armand Lochardet inherits half of heritage that will operate before passing it to his three children Bernard, Catherine and Bridget. In 1983 Brigitte Lochardet married Christian Heitz and creates Heitz-Lochardet area a few years later. Domaine Heitz-Lochardet we think biodynamic viticulture is the best way to cultivate and express the potential of its soil. In this and in order not to take some bad habits of conventional viticulture we set up early on the field biodynamic viticulture.
Lovely crémant made by Armand, fresh and crisp. Powerful floral aroma, fruit forward.
